Job Title: Electrical Quantity Surveyor

Purpose of the Role:
To provide specialized commercial management exclusively for electrical projects or packages. This role is more focused than the general M&E QS, diving deeper into the specifics of electrical contracting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates and tenders for pure electrical projects (e.g., electrical installations for industrial plants, rail electrification, power distribution networks).
- Perform take-offs from electrical drawings and specifications.
- Manage all financial aspects of an electrical project from award to final account.
- Procure electrical materials and specialist subcontractors (e.g., for cabling, protection systems).
- Value completed work, prepare client invoices, and manage subcontractor payments.
- Identify and price variations related to electrical design changes or site conditions.
- Monitor project costs against budget, focusing on labour, plant, and material expenditures specific to electrical work.
- Handle contractual matters related to electrical scope under relevant forms of contract.
- Work closely with Electrical Project Managers and Site Managers.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Background as an Electrician (Geselle) with commercial training, or a degree in Quantity Surveying with a focus on electrical work.
- Demonstrable experience in a commercial role within an electrical contracting company.
- Deep technical knowledge of electrical materials, installation times, and specialist equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical measurement standards and typical contract types in the German electrical industry.
- Strong analytical and financial management skills.
- Proficiency in German is essential.
- Experience in high-voltage, infrastructure, or energy-sector electrical projects is highly valued.
