Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of complex building services projects from inception to completion. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of M&E projects, including tendering, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
- Chair progress meetings with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors.
- Manage the technical coordination between mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) services and other building trades.
- Ensure compliance with German building regulations (BAU), VDI guidelines, and all relevant safety standards.
- Manage project financials, including cost forecasting, valuation applications, and change control.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise site teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure rigorous Quality Assurance and Health & Safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent proven experience).
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in M&E project management within the German construction industry.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial, industrial, or data center projects (>€5M value).
- In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, German norms (DIN/VDE), and planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills in German and English.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a strong advantage.
