About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rolling Shutter Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the expert installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of both manual and automatic rolling shutters and gates. This hands-on role requires technical proficiency, a strong commitment to safety, and a dedication to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation:
- Perform precise on-site installation of new manual and electric rolling shutters, grilles, and gates according to specifications and building codes.
- Conduct motor installations, ensuring proper alignment, wiring, and integration with control systems (remote, wall switch, etc.).
- Accurately measure and assess site conditions prior to installation.
2. Repair & Maintenance:
- Diagnose and repair faults in rolling shutter systems, including mechanical components (springs, slats, guides, locks) and electrical systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance services to ensure optimal performance and longevity of shutters.
- Replace damaged slats, curtains, barrels, and other parts efficiently.
3. Motor & Electrical Troubleshooting:
- Expertly troubleshoot issues with automatic shutter motors, control boards, remote controls, and wiring.
- Identify problems with limits, safety sensors, and automated control systems.
- Perform electrical connections and checks in compliance with standard safety practices.
4. Customer Service & Safety:
- Interact with clients professionally, explaining issues and solutions clearly.
- Adhere strictly to all UAE health and safety regulations on all job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle.
5. Documentation:
- Complete job reports, service tickets, and inventory usage records accurately and on time.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience as a Rolling Shutter Technician, specifically with both manual and automatic systems.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of rolling shutter mechanics and motorized systems.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills for low-voltage and mains-powered systems.
- Ability to read basic diagrams and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized installation equipment (drills, grinders, etc.).
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit to handle heavy materials, work at heights (using ladders/scaffolding), and in various outdoor conditions.
- Licenses: A valid UAE driving license is highly preferred.
- Other:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and honest with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage).
- Must be available for emergency call-outs if required.
