Skilled Carpenter (Retail Industry)

About the Role
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Carpenters to join our team in the retail furniture manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality fixtures and furniture for retail and commercial fit-out projects. You will be responsible for transforming technical drawings into precise, finished products, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and adherence to production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials (MDF, plywood, laminates, etc.).
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and stationary woodworking machines safely and efficiently.
- Execute high-standard finishing work, including sanding, veneering, laminating, and installing hardware.
- Assemble and install furniture and fixtures on-site or in the workshop as required.
- Maintain strict quality control throughout the production process to ensure all items meet design and durability standards.
- Adhere to all workshop and site safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: 5 to 8 years of proven experience in UAE-based retail fit-out and joinery projects.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating skill in producing retail furniture, display units, counters, and custom joinery.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and executing work with high precision.
- In-depth knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks in a workshop environment.
Salary & Benefits
- Basic Salary: AED 2,000 to AED 2,500 per month.
- Additional Benefits: As per the UAE MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation) laws, which typically include:
