Objective:
To provide an exceptional first and last impression for all guests by offering prompt, courteous, and efficient baggage handling, valet parking, and personalized service. The role is crucial in enhancing the guest experience through direct interaction and attentive service.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Bellboy Services:
- Guest Arrival & Departure:
- Greet guests upon arrival at the hotel entrance or lobby in a warm, professional manner.
- Promptly unload luggage from vehicles and safely transport it to the lobby for check-in or from the room to the vehicle upon departure.
- Accurately tag and store luggage for early arrivals, late departures, or left luggage, following strict security procedures.
- Rooming Guests:
- Escort guests to their assigned rooms, demonstrating the use of key cards and explaining room features (air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, safety deposit box, etc.).
- Place luggage on luggage racks or as directed by the guest.
- Offer information about hotel facilities, operating hours, and promote in-house outlets (restaurants, spa, etc.).
- Lobby & Concierge Support:
- Maintain a neat and orderly lobby and entrance area.
- Assist the Concierge with local directions, delivering messages, mail, and parcels to guest rooms.
- Handle guest queries or promptly direct them to the appropriate department.
B. Valet Driving Services:
- Valet Parking Operations:
- Offer valet parking services to all arriving guests in a safe and efficient manner.
- Issue valet tickets, carefully record vehicle details (make, model, color, registration number, existing damage), and obtain guest signature on the ticket stub.
- Park and retrieve vehicles from designated parking areas promptly, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations on hotel property.
- Vehicle Care & Security:
- Handle all guest vehicles with the utmost care, ensuring no damage is incurred.
- Maintain the security of all valet keys in the designated key cabinet.
- Never search through or tamper with any items inside a guest's vehicle.
- Guest Interaction:
- Open doors for guests and assist with entering/exiting vehicles.
- Provide a seamless departure experience by having the vehicle ready as per the guest's request.
General Duties:
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance in full uniform at all times.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the hotel's layout, services, and local attractions.
- Work closely with the Front Desk and Security teams to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed in public areas or guest rooms.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Bell Captain or Management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid professional driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Bellboy, Valet, or in a similar guest-facing role is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs), and walk extensively.
- Honesty, integrity, and a high degree of responsibility when handling guest property and vehicles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and a positive, helpful attitude.
