About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pipeline Engineer for our esteemed client based in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FEED and Detailed Engineering, specifically within the offshore oil and gas sector. This role requires flexibility to work from our client’s offices in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- FEED & Detailed Engineering: Develop and review pipeline engineering deliverables during the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering phases.
- Offshore Design: Perform pipeline route selection, wall thickness calculations, on-bottom stability analysis, and free-span analysis for offshore projects.
- Technical Specifications: Prepare and review technical specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, and design basis documents.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all design work adheres to relevant international codes and standards (e.g., DNV, ASME, API).
- Coordination: Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams (Process, Structural, Subsea) to ensure seamless integration of pipeline systems.
- Vendor Support: Review vendor drawings and technical bids; participate in technical evaluations.
- Site Support: Provide technical support during construction and installation phases as required (though primarily an office-based role).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Pipeline Engineering.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven experience as a Pipeline Engineer.
- Industry Focus: Mandatory experience working on Offshore Projects (fixed platforms, subsea pipelines).
- Engineering Phases: Strong track record in both FEED and Detailed Engineering.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in pipeline design software (e.g., AutoPIPE, Caesar II, OrcaFlex, or similar).
- Location: Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred and will be prioritized.
- Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi based on project requirements.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Immediate joiners or those on a short notice period are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
