JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Commis Chef (Level 2 & 3)
Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Mise en Place: Ensure all necessary ingredients are prepared, portioned, and stored correctly before service.
- Station Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation.
- Stock Control: Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock (FIFO), and minimizing waste.
- Health & Safety: Strictly adhere to kitchen hygiene, food safety (HACCP), and sanitation procedures.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role (Commis 3: Entry level/Culinary graduate; Commis 2: 1-2 years experience).
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Relevant culinary certification is a plus.
