CINQ Technical Services L.L.C is looking for an experienced Mechanical Draftsman to join our engineering team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical drawings related to HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting systems for various building service projects.
The role requires strong expertise in drafting shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings, while ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. The Mechanical Draftsman will work closely with engineers, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure smooth coordination and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems based on project design requirements.
- Develop shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with project standards.
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers, electrical teams, and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and clashes.
- Ensure all drawings comply with local codes, international standards, and project specifications.
- Revise and update drawings based on engineer, consultant, or client feedback.
- Participate in design review meetings and project coordination discussions.
- Maintain organized records of drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and material estimation from technical drawings when required.
- Ensure all drawings are completed with accuracy, clarity, and proper detailing.
- Support the project team during the design development and construction phases.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / ITI / Certification in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Building Services or MEP projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of **Revit MEP / BIM (preferred).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, plumbing layouts, and firefighting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
- Good coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on industrial, commercial, residential, hospital, or high-rise building projects.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and clash detection tools such as Autodesk Navisworks is an advantage.
- Experience working in MEP contracting or engineering consultancy environments.
