Job Title: BIM Engineer
Job Summary:
The BIM Engineer is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating digital building models for construction projects. This role ensures that all architectural, structural, and MEP systems are accurately represented in the BIM model, facilitating efficient design, clash detection, and project collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Modeling & Development:Develop 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP systems using software like Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of models with project standards and specifications.
- Maintain up-to-date BIM models throughout the design and construction phases.
- Coordination & Collaboration:Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate design elements into the BIM model.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts between disciplines using coordination tools.
- Support multidisciplinary project teams with BIM data and visualization.
- Documentation & Standards:Prepare drawings, schedules, and reports derived from BIM models.
- Develop and enforce BIM standards, templates, and protocols for projects.
- Assist in project documentation and maintain version control.
- Project Support & Management:Support project planning, design reviews, and progress tracking using BIM.
- Assist in construction sequencing, visualization, and simulations (4D, 5D BIM).
- Provide training and technical support for project teams on BIM processes.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:Keep up-to-date with the latest BIM software, tools, and industry trends.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance collaboration and project efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in BIM modeling and coordination for construction projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM 360).
- Understanding of construction methods, MEP systems, and structural design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
