Job Title: Traffic Management Team (TTM) Engineer
Job Summary:
The TTM Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising traffic management systems to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites, roadworks, or civil projects. This role ensures compliance with traffic regulations, safety standards, and project requirements while minimizing disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Traffic Planning & Design:Develop traffic management plans (TMP) in compliance with local regulations and project requirements.
- Design detours, diversions, signage, barriers, and temporary traffic arrangements.
- Analyze traffic flow, peak hours, and potential hazards to optimize site traffic safety.
- Implementation & Supervision:Supervise the installation of traffic control devices, signs, cones, barriers, and signals.
- Monitor site traffic to ensure safety for workers, pedestrians, and vehicles.
- Coordinate with construction teams to integrate traffic management with project schedules.
- Coordination & Communication:Liaise with local authorities, police, and municipalities for approvals and compliance.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders for traffic safety.
- Communicate traffic plans and updates to on-site teams and the public when necessary.
- Monitoring & Reporting:Conduct regular inspections to ensure TMPs are implemented correctly.
- Monitor and report incidents, non-compliance, or potential risks.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic management activities, changes, and incidents.
- Safety & Compliance:Ensure all traffic management operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
- Train site personnel on traffic safety procedures and TTM practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in traffic management planning, roadworks, or highway projects.
- Knowledge of traffic control standards, local regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Proficiency in traffic management software and drawing tools (AutoCAD, VISSIM, or similar).
