Job Title: Pharmacist (DOH Licensed)
Job Summary
The DOH Licensed Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical care, and complying with regulatory standards set by the Department of Health. The role involves patient counseling, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and storage
- Ensure compliance with DOH regulations and pharmacy laws
- Maintain proper records of prescriptions and controlled substances
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and expiry tracking
- Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions
- Handle insurance claims and billing processes
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm)
- Valid DOH Pharmacist License (mandatory)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
