📌 Role Overview
An Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing accounting teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
- Oversee daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, payroll)
- Ensure accuracy of financial records and transactions
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop and manage company budgets
- Monitor expenses and financial performance
- Provide financial forecasts and analysis to management
3. Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide accounting staff
- Assign tasks and review team performance
- Provide training and support to junior accountants
4. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP)
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections
5. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare financial reports for senior management
- Analyze profit/loss, cash flow, and cost control
- Identify financial risks and suggest improvements
6. Tax & Regulatory Work
- Ensure timely tax filing and compliance
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants
- Stay updated with financial regulations
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CMA)
- 5–10+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Leadership and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP standards
