Job Title: Mechanic
Job Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles or machinery to ensure proper performance and safety. The role involves hands-on technical work, following service instructions, and supporting smooth workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles or equipment to identify faults and issues.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups.
- Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Follow service manuals, technical instructions, and safety procedures.
- Conduct test runs to ensure proper functioning after repairs.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean working conditions in the workshop.
- Assist senior technicians or supervisors in complex repair tasks.
- Record job details, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned work.
Required Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in vehicle or machinery repair (freshers may apply in some cases).
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
- Ability to read service manuals and follow instructions.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience in automotive or industrial repair.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
