Job Title: Senior Master Technician
Job Summary:
The Senior Master Technician is an expert-level technical professional responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles or equipment. This role also involves guiding junior technicians, ensuring repair quality, and supporting advanced technical problem-solving within the workshop or service center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic system faults.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct final quality checks on repairs before vehicle delivery.
- Support and guide technicians and junior mechanics in technical issues.
- Ensure all repair work complies with manufacturer standards and procedures.
- Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
- Handle escalated or unresolved technical complaints.
- Assist in training and skill development of workshop staff.
- Maintain accurate job records, diagnostic reports, and repair documentation.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures in the workshop.
- Stay updated with new technologies, systems, and manufacturer updates.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or ITI in Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 7–15+ years of experience in automotive service or technical repair roles.
- Certification from manufacturer training programs (preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience in diagnostics and advanced repair work.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in modern vehicle systems (EFI, ECU, hybrid systems, etc.).
- Proficiency with diagnostic scanners and workshop tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to mentor and train junior technicians.
- Good understanding of manufacturer service standards.
