Job Title: Accountant
Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate accounting of all business transactions. The role supports financial compliance, budgeting, and audit processes while maintaining the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions
- Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Process invoices, expense claims, and payroll entries (if applicable)
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions for accuracy
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- 2–5+ years of accounting experience
- Professional certification (CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage

- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and reporting skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in corporate accounting or audit firms
- Knowledge of tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes)
- Experience with ERP systems
