Job Title: Senior Control Room Operator
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Control Room Operator to oversee and manage control room operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous functioning of systems and processes. The role involves monitoring equipment, supervising junior operators, and responding promptly to operational issues or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control plant/equipment operations from the control room
- Ensure systems operate within established parameters and safety standards
- Supervise and guide junior control room operators
- Analyze data from control systems and take corrective actions when needed
- Respond to alarms, faults, and emergency situations promptly
- Coordinate with field operators, maintenance teams, and management
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational records
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
- Participate in shift handovers and communicate operational status clearly
- Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and system optimization
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Control Room Operator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of control systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Attention to detail and high level of responsibility
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related field)
- Relevant certifications or licenses (if applicable)
Working Conditions:
- Shift-based role (including night shifts)
- Control room/industrial environment (e.g., power plant, oil & gas, manufacturing)
- May require extended hours during emergencies or shutdowns
