Job Title: Dental Assistant Nurse
Job Summary
A Dental Assistant Nurse supports dentists in providing dental care to patients. The role includes assisting during dental procedures, preparing instruments and materials, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining infection control and clinic hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Set up treatment rooms before procedures and clean after use
- Hand instruments and materials to the dentist during procedures
- Take and process dental X-rays (if trained and certified)
- Record patient medical and dental histories
- Ensure patient comfort and provide basic reassurance during treatment
- Apply infection control and sterilization protocols strictly
- Maintain clinic supplies and assist with inventory management
- Schedule patient appointments and manage records (in some clinics)
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Dental Assisting / Dental Nursing (preferred)
- Background in Nursing (BSN or equivalent) is an advantage
- Training in dental radiography and sterilization techniques (preferred)
- Valid certification or license depending on country regulations (e.g., PRC-related certifications in the Philippines if applicable)
