Job Summary
A Laser Technician is a trained aesthetic or medical support professional who operates laser equipment for skin and cosmetic treatments. The role involves assisting dermatologists or aesthetic physicians in performing laser-based procedures for hair removal, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation correction, and other cosmetic treatments in a safe and controlled clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate laser machines for cosmetic and dermatological procedures such as:
- Laser hair removal
- Skin rejuvenation and tightening
- Pigmentation and acne scar treatment
- Vascular lesion treatment (as directed)
- Assist dermatologists or aesthetic doctors during procedures
- Conduct pre-treatment skin assessment and patient preparation
- Explain procedures, aftercare instructions, and safety guidelines to patients
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and safe handling of laser equipment
- Follow strict infection control and safety protocols
- Monitor patient comfort and response during treatments
- Maintain accurate treatment records and patient documentation
- Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of treatment rooms
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Laser Technology / Aesthetic Laser Training (preferred)
- Background in Nursing, Physiotherapy, or Allied Health Sciences (preferred but not always required)
- Basic understanding of skin anatomy and dermatological procedures
- Training in laser safety and device operation
- PRC license (if from healthcare background in the Philippines, preferred but not mandatory for all clinics)
