Job Title: Planning Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and update project schedules. The role involves coordinating with project teams, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of projects within scope and budget. Both fresh graduates and experienced professionals are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using planning tools
- Monitor project progress and identify delays or risks
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors
- Perform resource planning (manpower, materials, equipment)
- Conduct schedule analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Track project milestones and ensure deadlines are met
- Support cost control and budgeting activities
- Maintain proper project documentation
Requirements
For Entry-Level Candidates
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Basic understanding of project planning concepts
- Familiarity with tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project (preferred)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
For Experienced Professionals
- 3–10+ years of experience in project planning/scheduling
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle (EPC, construction, or similar industries)
- Experience in baseline scheduling, delay analysis, and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Familiarity with cost control and risk management
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and time management
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Work Environment
