Job Summary
A Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. They play a key role in coordinating resources, tracking progress, and identifying potential delays in projects—commonly in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or oil & gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Monitor project progress and compare it against the planned schedule
- Identify delays, risks, and critical path activities
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and stakeholders
- Analyze resource allocation and optimize productivity
- Assist in cost estimation and budgeting related to timelines
- Implement planning and scheduling best practices
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications
