Job Title: Production Manager
Job Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and meets quality standards. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling production activities to meet organizational goals and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage daily production operations
- Ensure production targets, deadlines, and quality standards are met
- Develop and implement production schedules
- Monitor production processes and adjust as needed for efficiency
- Manage and supervise production staff, including training and performance evaluation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with other departments (procurement, logistics, quality control, maintenance)
- Optimize resource utilization (materials, labor, equipment)
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate raw material requirements
- Prepare production reports and analyze performance metrics
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
- Proven experience in production or manufacturing management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Working Conditions:
- Typically based in a factory or manufacturing environment
- May require shift work, weekends, or extended hours depending on production demands
