Job Title: Electrical Technician
Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. The role ensures electrical operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective maintenance
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Test electrical components, circuits, and control systems using appropriate tools
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and upgrades
- Maintain maintenance records and report technical issues
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians as required
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control panels
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documentation
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools and troubleshooting methods
- Good understanding of workplace safety practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical license or certification as required by local regulations
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments
- Knowledge of PLC systems and automation is an advantage
