Job Summary
The Assistant Professor is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic growth of the institution. The role involves designing and delivering postgraduate-level courses, engaging in scholarly activities, and bringing industry-relevant knowledge into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and seminars in the area of Finance.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and teaching resources.
- Teach postgraduate and undergraduate courses as assigned.
- Mentor and guide students in academic and professional development.
- Conduct research and publish findings in recognized academic journals.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and assignments.
- Use innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, and presentations.
- Participate in faculty meetings, academic committees, and institutional activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program improvement.
- Build industry connections to enhance classroom learning and student engagement.
- Support accreditation, quality assurance, and academic initiatives of the university.
Qualifications
- PhD in Finance or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
- Prior teaching experience at the postgraduate level is preferred.
- Experience teaching in the UAE or international higher education institutions is an advantage.
- Strong research record with publications in relevant academic areas.
- Industry experience or professional certifications in Finance are preferred.
