Job Summary
The Adjunct Faculty – Accounting is responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction in accounting-related subjects, engaging students through effective teaching methods, and contributing industry-relevant knowledge to the classroom. The role involves teaching assigned courses, mentoring students, and supporting the academic objectives of the university.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and academic sessions in Accounting at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Prepare and deliver course materials, presentations, assignments, and assessments.
- Develop engaging teaching methods to enhance student learning and participation.
- Provide guidance and academic support to students.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, projects, presentations, and assignments.
- Maintain updated knowledge of accounting practices, standards, and industry trends.
- Integrate real-world business examples and professional experience into classroom discussions.
- Participate in faculty meetings, academic activities, and curriculum improvement initiatives.
- Provide feedback to students to support their academic and professional growth.
- Support research activities and academic initiatives when required.
Qualifications
- PhD in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
- Previous university-level teaching experience is preferred.
- Postgraduate teaching experience, especially in the UAE, is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and current industry developments.
- Professional accounting certifications or industry experience are preferred.
