Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior HVAC Engineer to design, supervise, and manage HVAC systems for construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for HVAC design, installation, testing, commissioning, and ensuring systems meet project requirements, industry standards, and energy efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical services.
- Prepare and review HVAC drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, consultants, contractors, and project managers.
- Supervise HVAC installation activities and ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
- Review material submittals, technical proposals, and equipment selections.
- Perform testing, adjusting, and commissioning (T&C) of HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Monitor project schedules, costs, and resource allocation related to HVAC works.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Guide and mentor junior HVAC engineers and site teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in HVAC design, installation, and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and industry standards.
- Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, or high-rise building projects.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and MEP coordination is preferred.
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting HVAC systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
