Job Title: Senior QA/QC Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all project activities, materials, and workmanship comply with approved standards, specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements while maintaining high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks at various stages of project execution.
- Review and approve material submittals, inspection requests, method statements, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC reports, inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.
- Identify non-conformities, issue corrective action reports, and monitor resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for quality issues.
- Monitor laboratory testing, material inspections, and site quality procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation for project handover and closeout activities.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Train site teams on quality procedures and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in QA/QC roles within construction, MEP, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection procedures, and construction practices.
- Experience in preparing and implementing QA/QC plans, ITPs, and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of construction codes, specifications, and testing procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management documentation systems.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
