Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Plumbing Engineer to design, coordinate, and supervise plumbing systems for construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for plumbing design, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and fire protection systems.
- Prepare and review plumbing drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical submissions.
- Supervise plumbing installation works and ensure compliance with approved designs and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and safety compliance.
- Perform testing and commissioning of plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international codes, and project requirements.
- Monitor project schedules, materials, and resources related to plumbing works.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in plumbing design, installation, and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and construction practices.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office is preferred.
- Knowledge of international plumbing codes and standards.
- Experience with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting plumbing systems.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
