Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a caring and responsible Registered Assistant Nurse to support registered nurses and healthcare teams in providing safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with daily nursing activities, monitor patient needs, maintain accurate records, and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses and doctors in delivering patient care.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as hygiene, mobility, feeding, and comfort needs.
- Administer medications and treatments under the supervision and authorization of qualified nursing staff, as permitted by local regulations.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Maintain patient care records and nursing documentation accurately.
- Observe patients for changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic nursing procedures as assigned.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and care areas.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Assist in emergency situations according to established protocols.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and healthcare support teams.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Nursing Assistant/Assistant Nursing program from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration or certification as required by the relevant nursing authority.
- Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, nursing home, or healthcare facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care practices.
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety standards.
- Basic computer skills for patient documentation and records.
