MEP Supervisor – Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and responsible MEP Supervisor to supervise and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at project sites. The MEP Supervisor will ensure that installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily MEP installation and site activities.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting, and related works.
- Review and follow approved MEP drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and specifications.
- Allocate tasks to technicians, electricians, plumbers, and other MEP workers.
- Monitor manpower and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Ensure MEP works are executed according to approved drawings and project requirements.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, architectural, interior, and other site teams.
- Inspect ongoing and completed works to ensure required quality standards are achieved.
- Identify installation problems, clashes, and technical issues and report them to the MEP Engineer.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
- Monitor material availability and inform the concerned team of shortages or requirements.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of MEP materials and equipment.
- Assist engineers during testing, commissioning, inspections, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain daily work progress reports and manpower records.
- Coordinate inspection requests and rectify quality issues or site observations.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the site.
- Enforce the use of required PPE and compliance with HSE procedures.
- Report equipment failures, unsafe conditions, delays, and other site issues promptly.
- Support preparation of as-built information and handover documentation.
- Participate in site coordination and progress meetings as required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the MEP Engineer or Project Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant MEP site experience, preferably in construction, fit-out, commercial, residential, hospitality, or industrial projects.
- Good practical knowledge of MEP installation and site supervision.
- Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and layouts.
- Experience supervising technicians, electricians, plumbers, and subcontractor teams.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems is preferred.
- Good understanding of construction and MEP safety requirements.
- Ability to identify basic installation and coordination issues.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to work at project sites and flexible working hours when required.
