Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Industrial Refrigeration Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial refrigeration, freezer, and cold-room systems. The role ensures safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of refrigeration equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration, freezer, and cold-room systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, valves, controls, and other refrigeration components.
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor refrigerant pressures, temperatures, and overall system performance.
- Detect refrigerant leaks and carry out necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults related to refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
- Replace defective parts and components when required.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Follow all Health & Safety, environmental, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma, technical qualification, or certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Industrial or Commercial Refrigeration Technician.
- Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration and cold-storage systems.
- Good knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigeration controls, and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance independently.
- Good command of English.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting.
- A valid driving licence is an advantage.
