Camp Boss
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Camp Boss to manage the day-to-day operations of company accommodation and employee camps. The role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, disciplined, and comfortable living environment for employees while ensuring proper coordination of housekeeping, catering, maintenance, security, transportation, and welfare activities.
Key Responsibilities
Camp Operations
- Manage the daily operations of the company accommodation/camp.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and proper maintenance of all camp facilities.
- Monitor room allocation and maintain accurate accommodation records.
- Ensure adequate availability of water, electricity, cleaning supplies, and other essential services.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and other facilities.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair work and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain proper inventory of camp equipment, furniture, cleaning materials, and consumables.
Employee Welfare
- Attend to employee concerns and accommodation-related complaints.
- Ensure employees receive appropriate support and services within the camp.
- Maintain discipline and enforce camp rules and company policies.
- Coordinate employee room transfers, check-in, and check-out procedures.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and healthy living environment.
Catering & Housekeeping
- Supervise catering and kitchen operations, where applicable.
- Monitor food quality, hygiene, meal schedules, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate with catering staff and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted food services.
- Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
- Monitor proper waste disposal and pest-control activities.
Safety & Security
- Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular checks of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, alarms, and other safety equipment.
- Report safety hazards and incidents immediately to management.
- Coordinate with security personnel to maintain proper access control.
- Maintain records of incidents, complaints, inspections, and corrective actions.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate camp occupancy and employee records.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly camp reports for management.
- Monitor attendance of housekeeping, catering, security, and other camp staff.
- Coordinate transportation requirements for employees where applicable.
- Liaise with HR, administration, procurement, maintenance, and other departments.
- Monitor camp expenses and consumable usage.
- Ensure timely procurement and replenishment of camp requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in camp management, accommodation management, facility management, hospitality, or a similar role.
- Experience managing worker/employee accommodation is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of housekeeping, catering, maintenance, safety, and employee welfare.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle employee complaints and resolve operational issues professionally.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and basic reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
