Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Delivery Helper to assist the delivery team with loading, unloading, packing, and delivering materials to customers and project sites. The candidate will help ensure that goods are handled safely, delivered on time, and properly documented while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the driver in loading and unloading materials from delivery vehicles.
- Ensure that the correct materials and quantities are loaded according to delivery notes and invoices.
- Deliver goods safely and on time to customers, warehouses, and project sites.
- Check materials for visible damage before dispatch and report any discrepancies.
- Assist in packing, arranging, and securing goods during transportation.
- Help verify delivered items against delivery notes and obtain customer acknowledgements.
- Assist with collecting signed delivery documents and returning them to the office.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and unloading.
- Support the storekeeper and warehouse team in organizing materials and preparing deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the delivery vehicle and work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and material-handling instructions.
- Report delivery delays, damaged goods, or other issues to the supervisor.
- Perform other delivery and warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification: SSLC / Plus Two preferred.
- Previous experience in delivery, warehouse, or loading and unloading work is an advantage.
- Freshers who are physically fit and willing to learn may also apply.
Required Skills
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling materials safely.
- Honest, punctual, hardworking, and responsible.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic reading and counting skills to verify materials and quantities.
- Good behaviour and communication with customers.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations and project sites.
- Knowledge of safe material-handling practices.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a trading, engineering, electrical, construction, or fire and safety company.
- Familiarity with handling tools, equipment, electrical items, and industrial materials.
- Knowledge of delivery notes, invoices, and goods receipt procedures is an advantage.
