📊 Job Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance department in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and account management. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and key balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reimbursements.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, up to a maximum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Industry Preference: Prior internship or work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a corporate accounting environment is a significant advantage.
💡 Required Skills & Competencies
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar ERPs.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting standards.
- Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Reporting Skills: Demonstrated ability to assist in the preparation of financial statements and manage account reconciliations.
- Organizational Skills: High level of accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
🌟 Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian tax regulations, Zakat, and Value-Added Tax (VAT) filing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
