Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage our company's financial transactions and reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and preparing financial statements. You will play a critical role in the financial health of the organization by managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting the budgeting and audit processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner using accounting software.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify transactions, and manage payments to vendors. Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with accounting standards.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with HR to process payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and social security contributions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the finance manager in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file monthly VAT returns and ensure compliance with all ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Audit Preparation: Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, SOCPA) is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an Accountant.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles, including VAT.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
