Head Waiter
Basic Salary: SAR 5,000–7,000 + Accommodation
Job Overview:
The Head Waiter is a senior member of the service team who leads by example. This role involves supervising wait staff, ensuring service standards are consistently met, and acting as a key point of contact for both guests and team members during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of waiters and busboys in a specific section or for the entire floor.
- Train new wait staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and POS system operation.
- Assist in resolving guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, escalating to the Floor Manager when necessary.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate specials, reservations, and service goals.
- Oversee table setup, ensuring all stations are properly prepared before service.
- Manage the flow of service in their section, communicating effectively with the kitchen to control timing.
- Perform all duties of a Waiter during peak times or as required.
- Monitor side duties and closing procedures of the service team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Waiter or Senior Waiter in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of food, wine, and fine dining service techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to mentor and motivate a team.
