Mechanic (Grade 3)
Basic Monthly Salary: 5,000 SAR
Job Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the entire fleet of landscape equipment and vehicles is maintained in safe and optimal working condition. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical failures, and conducting repairs on a wide range of equipment, from small 2-stroke engines to diesel-powered tractors and complex hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, blade sharpening, and belt adjustments.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on equipment such as mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, chainsaws, and blowers.
- Engine Overhauls: Perform minor and major engine repairs and overhauls on gasoline and diesel engines.
- Shop Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop. Manage parts inventory and place orders for necessary components.
- Record Keeping: Keep accurate maintenance and repair logs for each piece of equipment, documenting work performed and parts used.
- Field Support: Provide roadside assistance or field repairs for broken-down equipment to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all repaired equipment meets safety standards before being returned to service.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a vocational or technical school in diesel or automotive mechanics is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a landscape, agricultural, or construction environment.
- Proficient knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Own a full set of personal mechanic's tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
