Catering Supervisor
Salary Range: 5,500 – 7,500 SAR
Job Summary:
The Catering Supervisor works on the front lines of event execution, directly supervising service staff and ensuring the smooth operation of events as directed by the Catering Manager. This role is hands-on, requiring strong leadership and problem-solving skills to maintain service standards during high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Directly oversee waiters, bartenders, and other service staff during events. Assign duties, manage breaks, and ensure a cohesive team.
- Event Execution: Ensure the event is set up according to the plan and client specifications. Manage the flow of service (food, beverage, timing) from start to finish.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the dining and service areas to ensure cleanliness, proper table settings, and adherence to service protocols.
- Client & Guest Interaction: Act as a point of contact for the client and guests during the event, addressing requests and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Communication: Liaise between the service team, kitchen, and management. Provide post-event feedback and reports to the Catering Manager.
- Training: Assist in the training of new service staff on company standards, procedures, and etiquette.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality or relevant field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in food and beverage service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of catering operations and fine dining service standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
