Catering Logistics Coordinator
Salary Range: 5,000 – 6,000 SAR
Job Summary:
The Catering Logistics Coordinator is the operational backbone of event execution, focusing on the planning and coordination of all physical elements required for an event. This role ensures that equipment, transportation, and setup logistics are meticulously planned and executed flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistical Planning: Develop detailed logistics plans for each event, including equipment lists, transportation schedules, and setup/breakdown timelines.
- Inventory & Equipment: Manage the inventory of all catering equipment (tables, chairs, linens, chafers, etc.). Coordinate rental orders when necessary.
- Transportation Coordination: Arrange and schedule all transportation for staff, equipment, and food to and from event venues.
- On-Site Setup: Oversee and assist with the loading, unloading, and setup of all equipment at event venues, ensuring it matches the floor plan and client expectations.
- Vendor Liaison: Act as the primary contact for rental and transportation vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges before and during events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Hospitality is beneficial.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in event operations, logistics, or a similar hands-on role.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to read floor plans and diagrams.
- Physically fit to handle loading and unloading of equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
