Waiter / Waitress (Catering)
Salary Range: 2,800 – 3,500 SAR
Job Summary:
The Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests at catering events. This role is crucial to the guest experience, requiring a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Setup: Assist in setting up the dining area, including laying tablecloths, setting tables with china, glassware, and silverware.
- Guest Service: Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, serve meals and drinks promptly and correctly, and clear tables throughout the event.
- Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu items and ingredients to answer guest questions accurately.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other waiters, bartenders, and supervisors to ensure seamless service.
- Compliance: Adhere to all hygiene and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Breakdown: Assist in cleaning and breaking down the event space, packing up equipment, and ensuring the venue is left in good condition.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience (1+ years) as a waiter in a hotel, restaurant, or catering company.
- Knowledge of basic service techniques and etiquette.
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
