Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Salary: AED 60,000 per month (plus standard UAE benefits package)

We are looking for a dynamic leader to spearhead our Offshore & Marine Business Unit into its next phase of strategic growth.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven leader to assume full P&L responsibility for our Offshore & Marine Business Unit. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring a proven track record in delivering large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects within the UAE region. The successful candidate will be the driving force behind the entire project lifecycle, from initial bidding and client negotiation to flawless execution, safe hand-over, and profit delivery. You will lead a large team of professionals, champion the highest standards of HSE and Quality, and be the key face of the company to our clients in the marine and offshore oil & gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & P&L Management:
- Own the Business Unit's Profit & Loss statement, driving profitability, cost control, and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the Offshore & Marine unit, identifying new market opportunities and growth avenues.
- Lead the end-to-end tender and bidding process, including bid strategy, pricing, risk assessment, and final contract negotiation.
2. Project Execution & Operational Excellence:
- Provide overarching leadership for all projects within the business unit, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee a diverse portfolio including:
- Ship New-builds and Major Repairs
- Jack-up/Rig Upgrades and Life Extension Packages
- Offshore Oil & Gas Fabrication (Modules, Structures)
- Turnkey Marine EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) Projects
- Manage the execution of large-scale structural steel fabrication projects, typically exceeding 3,000 MT.
3. Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large, multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Effectively manage relationships with major subcontractors, suppliers, and classification societies.
4. HSE, Quality & Compliance:
- Champion a zero-harm culture, ensuring full compliance with all company and international HSE standards across all project sites and the fabrication yard.
- Uphold and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications and client expectations.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulatory and classification society standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd's).
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in the offshore, marine, or heavy steel fabrication industry.
- A proven and demonstrable track record of successfully delivering large-scale offshore modules, vessels, or rig projects within the UAE or GCC region.
- Direct hands-on experience managing operations within a marine fabrication yard.
- Specific project experience must include:
- Structural steel builds above 3,000 MT.
- Vessel new-build or major conversion projects.
- Major rig maintenance, upgrade, or repair packages.
- Comprehensive understanding of the entire project lifecycle from bidding to hand-over.
- Proven P&L management experience for a significant business unit or division.
Desired:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree is a significant advantage.
- Extensive network and established relationships with key clients in the UAE/GCC marine and offshore sector.
