Draftsman (4 Positions)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports To: Senior Draftsman
Job Purpose:
To produce detailed shop drawings, layouts, and details as directed, supporting the construction team with accurate graphical information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for assigned packages (e.g., rebar detailing, architectural finishes, false ceiling layouts, plumbing riser diagrams).
- Convert rough sketches or mark-ups from engineers into formal, scaled drawings.
- Update drawings based on site instructions, RFI responses, and change orders.
- Assist in the preparation of material schedules and quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Print, distribute, and file drawings as required.
- Support the Senior Draftsman in the preparation of as-built drawings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or ITI certificate in Drafting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a draftsman in the construction industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Revit is a significant advantage.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Diligent, accurate, and able to work to tight deadlines.
