QA/QC Inspector (2 Positions)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports To: QA/QC Manager
Job Purpose:
To perform daily surveillance, inspection, and testing of construction activities and materials to ensure strict compliance with project ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute inspections according to the approved ITPs for each work discipline (civil, architectural, MEP).
- Monitor and inspect ongoing workmanship (e.g., rebar fixing, concrete pouring, block work, tiling, piping, ducting) against reference standards.
- Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure work is ready for client/consultant inspection at defined hold points.
- Witness and verify all field and laboratory material tests.
- Identify and report any non-conforming work or materials by issuing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and monitor their closure.
- Conduct quality toolbox talks for work crews.
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records, checklists, and logs with photographs.
- Ensure all approved materials are being used and stored correctly on site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector on major building projects in the UAE.
- Certifications in specific fields are highly valued (e.g., welding inspection (CSWIP/CWI), coating inspection (NACE/BGAS), electrical testing).
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards. Meticulous attention to detail and a non-compromising attitude towards quality.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and ITPs thoroughly.
