Foreman (4 Positions)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports To: Site Engineer / Construction Manager
Job Purpose:
To provide direct, hands-on supervision of a specific trade or work gang (e.g., carpentry, steel fixing, masonry, MEP), ensuring daily work targets are met safely, with the correct quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise and allocate daily tasks to a team of workers and chargehands.
- Ensure all work is carried out exactly as per the approved drawings, method statements, and instructions from the Site Engineer.
- Monitor the quality of workmanship on a continuous basis, correcting poor practices immediately.
- Enforce strict safety rules within his team, ensuring proper use of PPE and tools.
- Control material usage in his area to minimize waste and report any shortages.
- Report daily progress, manpower, and any issues (technical, resource, or personnel) to the Site Engineer.
- Maintain good housekeeping and tidiness in his work area.
- Train new workers on specific trade skills and site procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Secondary School Certificate + relevant trade certification/apprenticeship.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a foreman/supervisor role in the UAE.
- Expert, hands-on knowledge of his specific trade.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic ability to read construction drawings.
