Specialist Gastroenterologist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Specialist Gastroenterologist to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing endoscopic procedures and will play a key role in our growing GI department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, etc.).
- Manage outpatient and inpatient care for GI disorders (e.g., IBD, liver disease, pancreatic disorders).
- Interpret diagnostic tests and provide consultative services to other departments.
- Adhere to evidence-based clinical protocols and international standards of care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical audits.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Basic Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) & Relevant Post-Graduate Degree (e.g., MD, MS, DNB in Gastroenterology).
- Specialist Recognition: A recognized specialization qualification (Arab Board, Western Board, or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of independent practice as a Specialist Gastroenterologist post-board certification.
- Procedural Skills: Must be highly proficient in standard endoscopic procedures.
- Licensing: Eligibility to obtain an Omani Medical License (dataflow report required).
- Language: Fluency in English is essential. Arabic is a significant advantage.
