Job Summary:
A senior-level QC Engineer is required to ensure quality assurance and control for flowline, pipeline, and piping projects in the Oil & Gas construction domain. This role demands extensive field experience and expertise in the specific challenges associated with flowlines and interconnected piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-time QC oversight for flowline and pipeline construction activities, including trenching, lowering, backfilling, and tie-ins.
- Develop comprehensive ITPs for flowline installation, pigging, and pressure testing.
- Verify and approve all incoming materials, coatings, and welding consumables.
- Supervise and monitor welding, NDT, and field joint coating activities, ensuring strict adherence to procedures.
- Interface with construction, engineering, and client teams to resolve technical quality issues promptly.
- Ensure all quality records (checklists, test packs, as-built drawings) are accurately maintained for the complete mechanical scope.
- Conduct pre-inspection meetings and toolbox talks with crews.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 12+ years of proven QC experience, specifically with flowlines, pipelines, and oil & gas facility piping.
- Essential certifications: CSWIP 3.2 or CWI, NDT Level II (at least in RT & UT).
- Thorough understanding of API 1104, ASME Section IX, and pipeline construction standards.
- Must have prior approval or extensive experience working with KOC projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
