An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings. This role ensures that all electrical work meets national and local safety codes and is critical for the functionality and safety of any construction or renovation project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduits, distribution boards, and fixtures according to job specifications and electrical codes.
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and lighting systems for safety and functionality.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring based on the building's structure and intended use.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing devices, diagnose problems, and implement safe solutions.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure electrical systems are integrated correctly with other building components.
