P.O.P False Ceiling Technician

Job Description:
A Plaster of Paris (P.O.P) False Ceiling Technician is a specialist in designing, installing, and finishing false ceilings and decorative architectural elements. This role requires precision, an eye for detail, and a strong understanding of materials and building structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret architectural drawings and designs to plan ceiling layouts.
- Measure and mark guidelines on walls and ceilings for framework installation.
- Fabricate and install metal or wooden grid frameworks to support ceiling panels.
- Mix plaster compounds to the correct consistency and apply them to form seamless ceilings, coves, cornices, and other decorative features.
- Install pre-fabricated P.O.P or gypsum boards onto the framework.
- Finish surfaces by sanding, priming, and ensuring a smooth, level base for painting.
- Repair and renovate existing plaster ceilings and cornices.
- Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure a clean, safe worksite.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a P.O.P technician or similar plastering role.
- Knowledge of different ceiling systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina and good manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail for creating high-quality finishes.
