Job Description:
An Aluminium Technician is a skilled professional involved in the fabrication, installation, and glazing of aluminium structures, primarily windows, doors, curtain walls, and other architectural elements. This role combines workshop fabrication with on-site installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate aluminium frames, windows, doors, and partitions according to shop drawings and specifications.
- Operate machinery such as cutting saws, milling machines, and punching machines.
- Assemble fabricated sections with hardware (hinges, locks, handles).
- Install glass panels or double-glazed units using sealants and gaskets (glazing).
- Perform on-site installation of aluminium products, ensuring precise fitting and alignment.
- Conduct measurements and surveys at project sites.
- Apply weatherproofing and sealing to ensure durability and insulation.
- Maintain and repair existing aluminium installations.
- Adhere to quality control standards throughout the fabrication and installation process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in aluminium fabrication and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
- Proficiency with aluminium workshop tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of different aluminium profiles, glass types, and sealants.
- Ability to work at heights (for installation roles) and good physical fitness.
- A strong focus on quality and precision.
