Engineer (Civil / Geotechnical / Maintenance / Mechanical / MEP / Process / Project / QA/QC / Site / Technical Office)

Reporting To: Senior Engineer / Project Manager / Engineering Head
Job Summary:
The [Discipline] Engineer is responsible for providing specialized engineering expertise for large-scale infrastructure projects. This includes planning, design coordination, site supervision, quality assurance, and technical problem-solving to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Planning: Review design drawings, specifications, and calculations. Prepare method statements, technical submittals, and shop drawings. Participate in design coordination meetings.
- Site Supervision & Execution: Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Monitor workmanship, progress, and resource allocation.
- Technical Support: Provide daily technical guidance to site supervisors and foremen. Resolve unforeseen technical issues and propose engineering solutions.
- Quality Control: Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures. Conduct inspections of materials, works, and tests. Prepare inspection requests (IRs) and ensure non-conformance reports (NCRs) are closed.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure all site activities comply with company and client HSE policies. Participate in safety walks and toolbox talks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, progress photos, and as-built documentation.
- Coordination: Liaise with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in [Relevant Engineering Discipline].
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in road & bridge projects, sewage & water systems, desalination plants, power plants, and/or building construction & maintenance.
- Must have UAE/GCC experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, discipline-specific software).
- Strong knowledge of international standards (BS, ACI, AISC, etc.).
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
