Time Keeper
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports to: HR Manager / Project Accountant / Senior Engineer
Job Summary:
The Time Keeper is responsible for the accurate and diligent recording of daily workforce attendance, manpower allocation, and timesheet management for payroll and cost control purposes on the project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily attendance for all direct and subcontractor labor using biometric systems or manual registers.
- Allocate manpower hours to specific work packages, cost codes, or project activities as directed.
- Prepare and verify daily/weekly timesheets for submission to the payroll department.
- Monitor and report on overtime, absenteeism, and leave records.
- Liaise with supervisors and foremen to verify crew allocations and work hours.
- Maintain confidential and accurate employee timekeeping records.
- Assist in preparing manpower histograms and productivity reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws regarding working hours and wages.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Time Keeper or in a similar payroll/attendance role within the construction industry, specifically on large road & bridge, sewage & water, desalination plants, power plants, and building construction projects.
- High school diploma is essential; a diploma in accounting or business administration is preferred.
- High integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and timekeeping/HR software.
- Good communication skills to interact with a multi-national workforce.
- Understanding of basic construction workflow and cost code structures.
